7:50 PM - 8:00 PM - Question/Answer Session with Speakers

CEUs will be distributed via email within 1 week after the presentation for virtual attendees

Presentation Learning Objectives:

  1. Demonstrate knowledge of disability etiquette in their role as empathetic nutrition counselors for clients with disabilities 

  2. Counsel clients with disabilities on solutions to challenges to food access

  3. Strategize how clients with disabilities can meet personal meal planning and healthy lifestyle goals

  4. Explain how clients with disabilities can manage secondary conditions through food and nutrition

Speaker:  

Tracy Williams holds a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Dominican University. She is a public speaker, freelance writer, and advocate for disability, food access, and mental health. She has received five mini-grants from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation’s Kids Eat Right campaign. She has served as a general contractor for local organizations focused on food access, disability advocacy, and cancer prevention. She also created content for her first continuing education webinar, “Empathetic Nutrition Counseling for the Disability Community” hosted by Today’s Dietitian. Additionally, she has presented webinars for five dietetic internship programs and for multiple state organizations.

Cost:

Free for GCDA members, $10 for non-GCDA Members, and $5 for non-GCDA Member Students
