Speakers:

  • Emmy Weiss, RD, LD - serves as the lead clinical dietitian at the Lindner Center of HOPE. She provides services to inpatients; outpatients; individuals staying on the residential units, Sibcy House and William’s House; as well as those participating in the partial hospitalization programs.

    Emmy earned a bachelor’s degree in food and nutrition from the University of Cincinnati and completed her dietetic internship at Spaulding University in Louisville, Kentucky. Prior to joining the Lindner Center of HOPE, Emmy worked as a clinical dietitian at several large health systems specializing mostly in nutrition support and cardiac nutrition. She has specialized in nutrition for mental health and eating disorders since 2012.                            

  • Erica Jackson, RD, LD - serves as a staff dietitian at the Lindner Center of HOPE. She attends to inpatients, outpatients, and those participating in partial programs.

    She earned a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics from The Ohio State University and completed her dietetic internship at The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati.

    Prior to joining the Lindner Center of HOPE, she worked as a clinical dietitian in skilled nursing facilities and long term care.

 Learning Objectives:

  1. Identify diagnostic criteria and other potential warning signs of an eating disorder
  2. Understand physiological and psychological consequences of undernutrition
  3. Learn how to implement appropriate nutrition intervention for eating disorders
